Moorclose Community Centre

The Moorclose Food Pantry offers a simple, low‑cost way to top up your weekly essentials. Moorclose offers a regular pantry, see their Facebook page for more information.  It’s a quick and easy stop for anyone who needs a little extra support.

For a £3 donation, you can choose a selection of items to suit your household. Please bring your own bags, or you can buy one for £3 if needed. If it’s your first visit, you’ll just need to bring ID and proof of address.

Northside Community Centre

Northside Pantry offers a friendly, low‑cost way for local residents to top up their weekly essentials. It’s a relaxed, welcoming space where people can drop in, pick up a selection of affordable groceries and feel supported by their community.

Oasis Pantry

Oasis Food Pantry is open every Friday between 10.00am and 2.00pm. Their aim is to ease the financial burden by providing quality food at affordable prices. You need to be a member to use the Pantry. Membership is free and open to anyone in Carlisle who is struggling financially. A weekly shop currently costs £6.50, allowing members to access approximately £25.00 worth of food of their own choosing, from the stock of tinned, fresh and frozen food, as well as bread and fresh fruit and vegetables when available.

Petteril Bank Community Fareshare

If you’re watching your budget and need support, the Petteril Bank Community Fareshare is here to help. For a small weekly fee, you can choose from fresh produce, store‑cupboard essentials and family favourites, while saving money and reducing food waste. Pop in and pick up what you need. Everyone’s welcome - don't forget your bags.

Rachael's - Affordable Food Shop and Café

Rachael’s is a welcoming Community Café and Affordable Food Shop created in loving memory of Rachael, the founder and former Chair who passed away in 2022. The space continues her legacy of compassion, dignity and community spirit, offering a friendly place for people to connect, relax and access affordable support.

The Lookout Community Hub

The Lookout offers a simple, affordable way to pick up food you can use while helping reduce waste. Supported by FareShare, the pantry diverts good surplus food from landfill and makes it available to the community for just £2.

Everyone is welcome to come along, choose what they’ll use and be part of a space that’s all about accessibility, dignity and cutting down food waste. Bring a bag and take what works for you.

The Oval Pantry

If you’re looking for friendly, affordable food support, The Oval Centre Food Pantry offers a welcoming space for local residents. Alongside the pantry, you can enjoy cake and a cuppa with STAR Salterbeck Tenants and Residents and the Workington Derwent Rotary Club, making it a relaxed place to meet others while topping up your essentials.

The pantry provides a selection of low‑cost groceries for anyone who needs a little extra help, with a warm community feel at the heart of everything they do.

Wigton Food Pantry

If you’re looking for friendly, affordable support mid‑week, the Wigton Food Pantry & Coffee Morning offers a welcoming space every Wednesday from 9 - 11am. You can pick up a bag of shopping for a suggested £7 donation, with plenty of fresh fruit and veg available and no referrals needed - everyone’s welcome.

Alongside the pantry, you can enjoy a cuppa, get help with technical computer issues, browse the book swap and spend time with a supportive community. They even have a card reader, making things easy if you’re not carrying cash.
